Students

The training of students in this path has played a central role, and thus, young scientists are key actors in the research as part of my lab. I have learned much from working alongside them and these interactions and experiences have been very rewarding. As I am very committed to my students, I expect from them to be passionate, have an inquisitive mind, perseverance, a sense of improvement, develop a critical thinking, perceive no problem as insurmountable, and always give the best of themselves. No wonder why Einstein once said “I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious” and “Genius is 1% talent and 99% hard work.” Likewise, Edison expressed similar feelings in his quotes “The three great essentials to achieve anything worthwhile are: hard work, stick-to-itiveness, and common sense” and “I never did a day’s work in my life. It was all fun.”

My research has benefited by working with students at all levels: elementary school students, undergraduates, graduates and pot-docs in the field and in the lab. They all have being a source of inspiration.
